Ottawa Spring Episode 2: Obligatory Tulip Photo

I humbly submit an update on my art, animals, and apartment living activities:

1) Art:

Craft-wise, I did sew two living room cushions recently. This week I hemmed a new pair of pants. I wore the pants to a job interview. But I digress.

Photographically, two weeks ago I took a few photos of tulips, buildings, birthday partiers. Here's a tulip pic with one of Ottawa's public sculptures. Is "sculpture" the correct term? I would think so.

If you call gardening artistic, I did some yard work at other people's houses, and scored some plants from Greg's garden for my balcony planters. Thanks Greg!

In the creative writing vein, today I passed word associations back and forth with a few co-workers by email. This was only a few short exchanges I assure you, but it went something like: insulation, insulant, insolent, incontinent.

2) Animals:

No animal activities of note.

3) Apartment Living:

Home decorating activities include the above-mentioned cushions.

Lately I also painted two side tables. These side tables have a long history in my family, going back to about 1972. As long as I've known them, these simple bauhausian side tables have been painted a bright royal blue in a glossy oil paint. I thought they just appeared that way when my family moved into a new house about that year. Well no. I asked my mother. She said she bought them from an office furniture store, and painted them herself to match the blue carpet in the new house. Well, I painted them a dark grey. Anthracite is the name (Pratt and Lambert). I should post a picture.
