Spring Cleaning on the Highrise Blog (Slog)

I actually am motivated this weekend to post twice! in one weekend!

This time, I would like to draw your attention to my new Links section, at left.

D.A's Blog continues on the list. It's a food-lover's blog, all about the best places to have brunch on a weekend in Toronto. Even if you're not in Toronto, the photos are delectable.

David Scrimshaw's Blog also continues. It was voted one of the best blogs in Ottawa by Express Readers in the fall of 2006. It's very eclectic. I recommend checking out David's latest commentaries on neighbourhood life in the West Centretown, his recommendations on local arts and entertainment, and his latest thoughts on how to use binder clips.

Graz's and Lesley's Blog Links have been removed, since I finally realized that Lesley deleted her blog, and Graz hasn't updated hers since last summer. They've probably moved on to Facebook.

New on the list is OC Transpo, Ottawa's public transit website. I don't know why. Everyone either uses the OC Transpo website already or doesn't ride the bus. I do recommend the "travel planner" tool if you haven't tried it already. Just plug in where and when you want to travel and voila, you know when to go to the bus stop. If all of life's activities were that programmable, it would be kind of creepy.

Also new, two links related to photo blogs. Photoblogs is a general website on how to set up a photo blog, and Onvertigo is an example of one, by an Ottawa photographer. I have an idle wish to create a photoblog, so I can post photos on a nice crisp backdrop, with the ability to put a caption underneath.

Thanks, friend. I'll try.

Smarty pants? Does that mean he is well dressed or has a razor wit?

This man referred to in my profile is fairly well put together in the clothes department, especially when dressed for cycling. I am referring mainly to his mental capacity though, which is impressive. Anyone who can re-plumb an entire house while engineering an aero-space device, while sleuthing down the actual street residential location of a Canadian who gives her address as "Ms. Melvin Sloane, 1222 Bank Road, Ottawa, J2B 4G4" is well stocked in the mental department I say.

I've realized I should explain my earlier comment about sleuthing down people's addresses. This is a legitimate activity for which profile-gentleman gets paid by a public crown corporation, not a creepy hobby.

Creepy hobby is far more interesting...
